Lovester Duncan, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Lovester is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). She graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN-RN).  She, then, obtained her Master's degree at Walden University with a focus in psychiatric mental health. She is currently enrolled in the latter university as a doctorate student to acquire more competencies and pursue excellence as a forward thinking mental health nurse practitioner.

Lovester has over 9 years of experience working as a psychiatric nurse in both inpatient and outpatient settings. She cared for patients in acute psychiatric mental health units handling those suffering from a range of mental health conditions and substance use disorder.

Her focus is on the treatment of substance use disorder, mood disorders and psychotic disorders through psychiatric assessment, medication management and psychotherapeutic intervention for patients over 14 years old.

Lovester is very welcoming and understanding. She aims to create a safe environment where patients are able to thrive during their treatment.
